Bernie A. Narvaez is an Iraq War Veteran having served in the U.S. Marines for six years. Born in Sinaloa, Mexico, Bernie’s family immigrated to California in 1990, overcoming poverty and homelessness. In addition to operating Narvaez Insurance Services, he currently serves as the City of Napa Councilmember for District 4, advocating for the small business community and locals.
Bernie Narvaez is the President of the Napa County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, helping promote, support, and encourage the local business community.
As an experienced business owner, Bernie A. Narvaez has been invited several times as a guest instructor for the SBDC Napa NxLevel Entrepreneurship Training program, helping new business owners and scaling businesses understand risk and navigate insurance coverage. Youth mentorship is also a big part of Bernie A. Narvaez, having been a big brother with Big Brothers Big Sister of the Bay Area.
As a veteran, Bernie A. Narvaez is involved with the local American Legion Post 113 and the Napa Marine Corps League. He has been the MC for the local Memorial Day service and Veterans Day service. He serves as the vice-chair of the Napa County Veterans Commission advocation for local services and public policy for Napa County Veterans.
